Altratech to Showcase Ultra-Sensitive Point-of-Care Molecular Diagnostics at Next Generation Dx Summit 2026
Altratech will showcase its next-generation molecular diagnostic platform at Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s 18th Annual Next Generation Dx Summit, taking place in Washington, D.C., from 24–26 August 2026. The summit will bring together more than 400 international leaders in diagnostics, biotechnology and healthcare to explore advances in medical technology, diagnostic development and innovation.
Altratech CEO, Dr Tara Dalton will present on Monday, 24 August at 12:15 p.m., sharing new data demonstrating the platform’s ability to achieve a detection limit of 200 copies/mL from just 150 µL of whole blood. This combination of high analytical sensitivity and very low sample volume is central to Altratech’s vision of bringing sophisticated molecular testing closer to the patient. The company is developing its technology to enable more accessible point-of-care diagnostics while also supporting drug developers through rapid biomarker screening and monitoring, decentralised clinical trials and potentially at-home testing.
The presentation follows a series of important milestones for Altratech. The company recently completed a successful pre-clinical HIV patient-sample study in collaboration with San Cecilio University Hospital in Spain and secured development funding from the Gates Foundation. Together, these advances support Altratech’s development of a flexible, digital, multi-analyte molecular platform designed for sensitive viral detection and viral-load testing from small-volume clinical samples.
