Altratech received a grant from the Gates Foundation to enable its platform technology, to deliver an affordable, easy-to-use, point-of-care quantitative HIV viral load test suitable for low – and middle – income countries.
The European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator Programme is Europe’s flagship innovation programme. Altratech was awarded EIC Funding to support HIV clinical trials.
The Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) is a U.S. government organization within the Department of Health and Human Services dedicated to strengthening national health security. BARDA supports the advanced development and commercialization of medical countermeasures against public health emergencies, pandemics, and biothreats. Altratech were awarded and completed a BARDA feasibility contract to demonstrate tech-transfer of cyclopentane PNA probes from the NIH.
Enterprise Ireland (EI) is the Irish government organization responsible for supporting the growth and global scaling of Irish‑owned companies. It has provided funding, commercialisation support to innovative startups and high‑growth enterprises such as Altratech.
